Digi 002 and Windows 10

Just said id let ye know in case anyone was wondering..
I managed to get the digi 002 working with Windows 10, by using the legacy firewire drivers..

Download KB29701191

find the 1394bus.sys files etc at "\program files (x86)\1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller (Legacy)"

right-clicked on the "Legacy1394.inf" file, chose "Install" and Windows changed the driver of that card. Now it works.

After playing around a bit more, seems to be working as it should..well, its the console I have, and the console side of it isn't working, just the sound card, but pt 2018.10 is running perfectly with it, way smoother than 2018 on Windows 7..loaded up a few of my bigger projects..no bother..way quicker than Windows 7..newest slate plugs working perfectly, where they wouldn't install before..

Ha, just said I'd chance it before reinstalling Windows 7 again..Thank God I did..

You might also try using the TI Compliant firewire driver. While the legacy driver is recommended, when I had my 003 surface, it never worked. The driver you mentioned would allow audio to pass in and out, but the surface would send midi note messages(I discovered when I had an Instrument track with EZdrummer and I kept hearing the hi-hat whenever I'd hit the transport PLAY button). Using the TI Compliant driver made it all quite happy on Windows 7


Just remember, its not supported and will stop working, sooner or later(in the meantime, make some music)

Yeah, the console side of it hasn't been working since x64, so I've pretty much come to terms with it..it'l knock another few years out of it yet..2p18.10 does seem to be running better than 11 on 7 though..

A guy in Pasadena was selling an 8 channel (is it 003+ rack?) for a hundred bucks. I was thinking about buying it for the heck of it...
