Default sound replacer question

what are the dynamics ratios and other tecniques that everyone uses on different drums using sound replacer?

this is what my current method

peak align off

bass drum, almost no dynamics, only replaced kick
snare - medium dynamics (2/1) Mix with original snare (manually lowered during fills)
toms - medium dynamics , mix with original tom hits

what are everyone elses methods??

I haven't used it yet for drums... I just record really good drums that I like in the first place. Although.. I might start using it in Demo's and pre-production work. I'm interested to see what others say...

The best result is not to use Sound Replacer. Tab to transient and paste. You'll spend more time fixing the flams in SR. Also, each hit triggers slightly different, so the phase relationship between the sample and the original will vary. Anyhow,, tab and gain the samples that you need dynamics on. If you use command focus keys, it's rather quick.

Turn off peak align. That's what makes each hit different. SR is trying to line them up individually. Try it.
