Unwanted noise/interference sound on midi keyboard and guitar
I would be very grateful for some advice! We have bought a new iMac and are currently trying to set it all up as our old Mac bit the dust, so to speak.
The new one is 3.4ghz quad core, 1tb hard drive, two thunderbolt ports, SDXC card slot, four USB 3 ports. We have upgraded to Pro Tools 12. As part of the process we connected our MBox2. We downloaded the drivers and Pro Tools now recognises the device. The problem we are having is a regular clicking noise/interference when playing a keyboard or the axe fx guitar amp. We assume it's a midi related thing but are not sure how to resolve it. There is no interference whilst no sound is going in. But as soon as a note is played the noise comes and as the note fades off the noise then disappears leaving the audio signal clear once again. Could it be the old Mbox or is the configuration not correct? Any advice would be gratefully received. |
