input 1 gain problem/digi 003 console
hello
When i connected a stereo pair of mics to inputs 1-2 i noticed that the gain on input 1 was very low vs. input 2 even though gain knobs were even. there is a signal, it's just so long i have to crank the knob all the way to get any level. i looked up the problem and read that the cables inside could be zip tied to tight and could cause a connector to become unseated. i'm out of warranty, so i opened up my 003 and found that all was seated properly. What else could be causeing the problem? and has anyone else experienced the same, and if so what did you have to do to correct the issue? thanks

Have you swapped sources to verify its the input and not the source?

yes. i've tried multiple mics. The DI works fine for imput 1, it seems to be just the mic line in.
