Pops and Clicks
Everytime that I transfer 8 tracks from my Alesis XT20 ADAT machine thru the digital outputs...I get these pops and clicks in PTLE. I hooked up my ADAT to the analog inputs and it works fine, so I know its not the data on the ADAT, I think it may be the optical cable or something. Any Ideas out there?

Re: Pops and Clicks
Make sure you have the sync mode set to "optical" when you are making the transfer, and remember to set it back to "internal" after the transfer is complete.
This option can be found in the "Setups" menu under "Hardware". Mike

Re: Pops and Clicks
I think it has something to do with the "Clock" rate of the signal. This was discussed a while back in the Mac section. Don't remember the details but I think it can be solved in one of the setup/configuration menus. (Do a search in the Mac section on sync related issues).
