S1 Fader Lagging EuControl 2020.11

I am troublshooting a fader lagging issue I cant seem to fix. I have 2x S1's and a Dock with an ipad air. I have searched here and found the 20.5 lagging thread and tried the disabling dock automation mode but that didnt seem to fix. I am experiencing delayed response to touch and faders fight me, automation comes and goes as I hold the faders, etc. If I power all down, and sequence power 1)netgear switcher, 2) control surfaces, 3) computer it seems to temporarily fix. But, while working in the same session the problem seems to reappear. tried multiple sessions. Dock seems to work as it should but problem is with both S1's.

If the faders are fighting you it sounds like a touch sensitivity issue. Is it all faders or some in particular, is it only after holding them for a set amount of time (50 secs)?

The lagging is immediate i.e. upon touch the indicator on the track does not turn red right away like on the dock, seems to kick in at random times, then flash in and out while still touching and fight my positioning. When i jump to the dock fader it appears to function as normal on that same track. All faders on both s1’s seem to share same issues. Going to try this evening swapping with a different switcher and also direct connect a single s1 to computer. If i do the reboot sequence and open a test session with 16 tracks, all faders wright automation perfectly. When i open a working session, it appears to be fine and then the problem reappears. It doesnt appear to have the 50 sec issue from what i can tell, but just in case my serial numbers are ENEOQ95100714B and ENEOQ95100812B. Willing to try manual ip addresses on all if this might be worth exploring.

How large complicated is the session?

Roughly 20 tracks that are a mix of 5.1, midi, instruments and aux tracks as well as a 1080 dnxhr video track

Thats not it then! Have you tried a single S1 directly connected via a single cable to the Workstation with no switch/router in between?

Just ran some more tests. Fired everything up in sequence and everything worked great. approx 5 min in, the touch lagging/fader fight started again. as a 2nd test, i powered everything down, direct ethernet to the computer with a single ethernet cable, and the same issue continued. I did experience this same issue with PT ultimate 2019 so i am really stumped as to what it could be. the dock works perfect. i was thinking maybe the upgrade on EuControl and PT and the fw might fix it all. I really dont believe this is the S1's it has to be operator error somewhere.

This is strange and certainly looking like the S1's...but it would be rare 2 would be the same (do they both start to do this at the same time?)
I'll talk to the rest of the team and see if anyone has any ideas tomorrow.

just did a uninstall of EuControl and preferences just for kicks and reinstalled. Here is a video of the 2nd S1 direct connected with avid supplied ethernet cable. the tracks shown are in touch mode and hopefully you can see how the faders touched dont how red as touched right away, but then i let go and they stay red as if i am still touching, faders struggle against my touch. I cant seem to get success at all with either s1 direct connected. I am starting to think it might be both units needing repair short of some sort of factory reset

(sorry for the horrible videos) but here is a 2nd with the dock connected using the same ethernet cable direct connected to the computer and the dock is working as expected. when i touch, track indicator stays red and as soon as i let go it goes back to original position etc

can you post an image of the firmware version from the Surfaces page in EuControl? As I said I'll meet with the engineers in the morning and see what they say. The video helps!
