Default Bounce Mono Summed

How much should stereo files be reduced in level to avoid clipping when Bouncing mono summed. I've reduced the level -3db, seems fine I was wondering if there's standard.

Default Re: Bounce Mono Summed

I seem to remember that summing two channels at approximately similar levels, the result is theoretically 6db louder than each individual channel.

Someone may come along with actual knowledge, but that's my memory...

Cheers, Mark
