Default Superior drummer 3

Downloads were pretty brutal depending on connection. At work on was getting about 26 MB a sec. At home, on FIOS it's more like 4-6 MB a sec. At work I got 4/5 done in under 2.5 hours. The one part I did at home was a 4-5 hours.

SD3 is off the meter fantastic though.

Talk about a slog on FIOS - that's what I have here at home. I'm supposed to have 50 up and down - what are you supposed to have? I know my access has been slow these last couple of days though.

A connection is only as fast as the server serving it. In this case I would be willing to bet it's Toontrack's servers that are having trouble keeping up.

Poor Toontracks, they let users know their website/store was getting hammered but said content downloads would be OK because that was coming from a separate CDN. Must suck to be popular

Wow, the grid editor alone is worth the upgrade for me. Core library sounds excellent, vast UI improvement (resizeable window a huge plus) great upgrade all round. Installation a breeze & Stable on PC. Downloading library required patience but well worth the wait.

Bye bye Strike, no longer be co-occupying space in my system, not needed anymore.

Well done Toontracks!

Funny I was thinking about posting the fact that SD3 was released !!!

The auto replacement feature sounds like a HUGE timesaver

Yeah I kind feel sorry for STIKE right now as it was my main drum VI for years.

I feel like I just upgraded from a nice Model T to a Lambo. :)

The interface looks cool, wish they had a demo version so i could check out the grid editor. BFD3 has a great editor built-in, but the interface isn't my favorite.

Not sure if this helps. I found the grid editor to be quite well thought out and very functional.

Exactly what I wanted to see, thanks.

It does look well implemented. BFD3 has more tools for groove creation, but SD3 has a better interface. Both sound great. I already have over 300GB of libraries for BFD3, so it ain't going anywhere, but SD3 would be nice to have around... ugh... just when I though, "I'm finally done buying plugins", they release something cool again
