Default iLok Manager - Won't Sign In - Session no longer valid

Hi All

I woke up this morning - really excited to see PT 11 released - bought it immediately - downloaded it. Went to add licence to iLok and see everything has changed.

I downloaded and installed the latest iLok Manager - the program runs fine and it sees my iLok - all I need to do is get connected and add my new licence - but it WILL NOT sign in so I can't so anything.

The progress bar starts saying "Operation in progress" then I get a dialog saying:

The session you were using is no longer valid - Press OK to establish a new session.

I realise this is a question for Pace and I have raised a ticket on their site this morning. I am posting here in case anyone has managed to sort this part out.

i see the are numerous other issues with iLok at the moment too, but I can't even get logged in.

Any help greatly appreciated

Ed

Same problem.
A re-download does not fix the issue.
I thought this error should be gone?

I don't know what to say. The ilok Team is really overstrained in the last few months...

Try this:

uninstall the ilok manager software
restart computer
then re-download it from the website
After a clean download install the software again.
After install is complete restart computer again.
Then open and try to sign in.

At first i got the same error then it asked me for user name and pw and everything worked. BE PATIENT you will see "OPERATION IN PROGRESS" just let it do its thing.
I am on MAC 10.8.4

I had precisely the same issue this morning and also opened a ticket with Avid. I tried all of the procedures listed above -- on multiple machines. Also tried the Check for Application Updates option, thinking the download wasn't the most recent (although Avid says most of the changes are server side). Still get the "session you were using is no longer valid" message. It's extraordinarily frustrating and, yes, I know it is a Pace issue...but...

I guess I'm a part of this thread too now. I was getting the Surrender incomplete errors but now I keep getting this message.

Just to correct my last post, I opened a ticket with iLok, not Avid. It's obviously not an Avid problem. Pace made the mistake of heading into a different model prior to Avid's upgrade to PT11 -- but that's not a Pace problem, although I suspect doing so was driven in part by Avid's initiative. I'm the founder of z software company in a different space, so I deeply appreciate the issues surrounding QA, and I know they're stressed to the max around it, so I'm forgiving. But I just want to fire up the DAW and record. They'll solve it, that's the nature of software development. In the interstice, though, it leaves you frustrated as hell (I'll also point out that several of our products use dongle protection, and the issues are legion). If anyone out there comes up with a solution prior to Pace, post ASAP.
