This is essentially a re-branded AX-32 from Digital Audio Denmark, so we already know it's capabilities. If you don't use the Digilink Ports, it's also a full 64 channel Dante interface.

According to our friends at Pro Tools Expert, Dante Virtual Sound Card can provide 64 ch i/o for PT.

But if you want to run 64 channels in/out of Pro Tools, I would use the Digilink interface. It has two Primary ports. Why wouldn't you do it that way? Am I missing something? Connect it to a HD Native card and call it a day.

On a side note, once Avid starts selling this version, DAD will continue to sell their AX-32 without the Digilink ports. So if you just want a stand-alone Dante interface, I would suggest looking into their AX-32 or DX-32.

I have both the DAD AX32 and the DX 32 both with Dante cards and a total of 128 out and it's amazing! I really love it! I am hooked up via madi to my 7 Avid Madi units . Dante is the way to go. For me I am mixing in Dolby Atmos, Auro-3D 11.1, DTS X and IMAX 12.0/ 6.0 along with 5.1,6.0,7.1,9.1, 11.1,13.1,24.1,28.1,30.1 and 40.1

Really really happy with the DAD units. The Avid MTRX will be a nice addition for you guys. Both the DAD and the Avid MTRX will work together for the future.

Where do you get $15,000.00 from?
You are WAY off (too high) in your numbers.
