Default Pro tools 12.3 cost to stay current.

Hi I have Pro Tools 12.3 it will keep current till 2nd june 2016,my question is

1)how much will it cost me to stay current each year 214.20 euros or 105.91 euros.I cant seem to understand the difference at the Avid store.

2)Do i have to upgrade every 2nd june or before the end of a year?

Thanks

Annually before your 2/6 (June 2nd) expiration date

They used to give a few days leeway if you forget, but I am not sure what the policy currently is

If you're already on the plan, then you'll renew for 105 euros ($99) in 2016, when comes your renewal date - in your case june 2nd.

Quote:
* If you currently subscribe to Pro Tools or are on an Avid upgrade plan for Pro Tools or Pro Tools | HD, your plan will automatically transition to the newly enhanced All Access Annual Upgrade and Support Plan. That means you now have access to all of the bonus plug-ins at no additional cost. When your plan is about to expire, just renew it starting at $99/year for Pro Tools (for continued access to new releases, plus $99/year for continued access to the bonus plug-ins and support) or $399/year for Pro Tools | HD (for continued access to new releases, bonus plug-ins, and support).

All active monthly and annual Pro Tools subscriptions include access to all upgrades, bonus plug-ins, and support throughout your subscription.

Please note that the current low-cost upgrade + All Access plan prices for Pro Tools and Pro Tools | HD are only available through December 31, 2015. Starting in 2016, if you are not on an All Access plan (or let your annual plan lapse), the price to purchase or reinstate a new All Access plan will be as follows:

Annual Upgrade plan for Pro Tools—$299 the first year, then $99/year thereafter (includes 12 months of upgrades only; does not include bonus plug-ins or support)
Annual Plug-in and Support plan for Pro Tools—$99/year (provides 1-year access to bonus plug-ins and support to complement your upgrade plan; upgrades not included)
Annual Upgrade and Support plan for Pro Tools | HD—$999 the first year, then $399/year thereafter (includes 12 months of upgrades, bonus plug-ins, and support)
While the Annual Plug-in and Support Plan is available to Pro Tools 11 users for $99/year, it does not come with access to Pro Tools 12 software or an upgrade plan.

The two prices are the equivalent of the $99 and $199 options everyone talks about (U.S. Pricing).

The $99 gets you all updates for the next year, but no support.

The $199 option adds support (only you know if you need that) and Avid also entice you with a selection of 'premium' plugins, which are yours to use for as long as you continue to renew that plan.

In other words, those extra plugins are 'rented', if you stop paying you lose access to them. Again, only you know whether those plugins are of value to you.

Personally, I use both Space and Eleven, but I have perpetual licenses for them, so the rented plugins bundle is of no real value to me.

Can someone answer...

Can you keep both Pro Tools 10 and 12 for 99 a year if you don't need the extra plug ins and support for 199?

At some point you needed to pay 199 if you wanted to keep PT 10...

When you upgrade from PT11 for $99 ypu recieve a PT10/11/12 combo license so yes, you will be able to use those PT versions with the $99 plan.

Thank you for the reply. That's good news.

Seems there's confusion around the details of various plans given the transition to a completely new 'all access' model, but once the dust settles this will be seen as a very positive move by Avid.

When 13, 14 and beyond come out, will the license for 10 still work? I'm intending to keep my PT10 machine going for use with older sessions and whatnot and it would be a problem if suddenly my license stops working when I upgrade past 12.
