Default Basic Editing Question

Hi all,
I did my first serious slice and diceing in the editing window yesterday in cutting out entire parts of a demo song. I was pleased with the success but had to do it track by track (there were only three of them) in deleting sections and grabbing the following region and moving it forward.
My question: How do you move the region(s) following your deleted section(s) doing multiple tracks at the same time? (doing it the way I did--one at a time--if the tracks aren't lined up perfectly, there's a problem)

Any help appreciated,
J.D

I think you're looking to group the tracks that you're editing. There's a big section at the end of chapter 8 in the reference guide that will show you how to create and manipulate groups.

You can also just select across multiple tracks when you make your editing selection, but grouping is easier.

The first thing is to make sure the ALL group is ON (highlighted) when you start selecting tracks. Also get used to how the "shuffle" "slip" and "grid" buttons operate.
