Obviously when you have already started to record the gig but have a last minute idea to add some spice to whatever track... been there many times, but it's no biggie because stability is far more important than being able to do anything

AFAIK it has not been "officially" announced, just informal information given by marketing reps, etc that it should be released by the end of March. If there was something official I would think that AVID would have something either here or on AVID's home website

I don't know if poop is the right word, but from what I understand of SOP 97-2 and the changes that occurred in 2013 - revenue for software sold in a quarter can only be reported in the quarter it is actually delivered. There are some pretty substantial reasons why the support plan came into existence, along with Adobe going subscription, and Apple's free OSX updates. It's far to convoluted for my brain to fully reconcile, but perhaps someone with more knowledge of the topic will chime in.

Perhaps, but I'm at a lost to see how a guy employed by Avid, wearing an Avid shirt, holding an Avid microphone in front of the Avid booth at an industry trade show is speaking any less on behalf of Avid than the Avid website is. I suppose time will tell, at least to some degree.

it's 18th day and we never hear a word until a release is out... so why it's too late?

Honest question - I like to get new features as much as the next person but the latest version of PT (whatever it is) is running fine on my system and isn't keeping me from working.

Hopefully they include a lot more features for the Ultimate users who have gotten so little over the past couple years and release it when it's right.

I would go to .13 or .14 if they have the new audio engine that doesn't skip. And also if it doesn't break my d control compatibility.
