Default Please Support these 4 Small Feature Requests

I've just bought the update plan and would really like to get these 2 things included at some point, please could you guys click on the pro tools link below and support these 3 little ideas:

Advantages of Having the option to 20 Inserts Slot
:

- The user is able to space out their plugins into sections
- More opportunity to A/B different plugins within the chain
- Sound Designers have more flexibility
- Mix down without need to convert to Audio Track
- All plugins stay within the same section
- No need to Daisy-Chain which saves Bus's
- Saves CPU power because Buses dont need to be used
- Save Time due to no midi to audio conversion
- Log the entire mix with all plugins present
- Extra Headroom
- All forms of music become equally mixable
- More appealing to other non-Pro Tools users to choose Pro Tools
- Opportunity to create more unconventional mixes

20 Plugins per track:

Plugin Menu: Put all Manufacturer Names in Alphabetical Order, not just the names that start with Capitals:

20 Sends on Each Track

Custom Organize plugins menu into folders & sub-folders

Thanks.

If you need 20 inserts on a track you're doing something wrong.

Of course, that was the same argument when people were asking Digidesign to double 5 inserts/sends to 10 but then again 10 is plenty. I don't think this will ever happen, because you would have to have an easy way to instantiate that 20th plugin using a +100 thousand control surface.

I don't see where you need so many inserts and myself would prefer it at 10 for the GUI not getting larger, but in the case for occasional tracks where more than 10 is required why not simply bus the track full of inserts to a aux track and load another 10 plugins on that ? much better than losing GUI space for the sake of maybe a few tracks wanting loads of plugin chains... just a thought :)

Sends however, would be more likely useful, i could agree with 20 as a flippable view of 10 at a time perhaps

20 plugins... err what musicman691 said.
20 sends -- I could only see this as being useful if you could do in-chain sends (ie, you could send after a variety of insert plugins so sends could fall interspersed with inserts; it'd be a whole new way of working.)

Name order -- I could get behind this one.

And an excellent thought at that. If you don't need all the inserts on say the bussed-to track you can hide the track.

To be honest I get annoyed if I have to use more than five sends, let alone 10, though it does happen occasionally. And if I'm on the 10th insert slot on a track I usually treat that as a dire warning that I've desperately gone wrong somewhere in the processing.. But hey, maybe that's just me.

I myself get annoyed if I have to use more than five inserts, but understand why on a live gig you could occasionally need more than 10 sends (monitoring plus effects)

Use blue cat Patchworks - you can get more than 20 plugins per track.

I think I know where the OP is going with this HOWEVER if PT had a better way of saving and recalling plugin chains other than the Channel preset "hack" it would be a nice feature.
I really don't get why Avid has not implemented this feature when it's been the Venue software for the last 10 years.

I would prefer better plugins, not more plugins. I do lots of live gigs and for sure can live with 5 slots. Just that any plugin needs to be spot on.
