Default PT 10.1.2 hangs when removing plugin

I can insert a plugin but when I try to remove it I get the beach ball and have to force quit. I did a search on the forum and didn't find this problem. It's on new sessions or old ... Any thoughts?

Appears to be only TriToneDigital's MuteTone plugin ... I will have to see if there's an update ...

Latest version is v1.01 ... Is anyone else using MuteTone and having this problem?

I've found that if you deactivate the MuteTone plugin first, then you can choose to remove it without Pro Tools hanging.

No one else has this problem?

Yes,

It does the same with me.

I have found that if you do the following, it will not freeze:
- do not disable or remove plugin whilst still in rec ready mode
- do not disable plugin (grey out)
- instead, make sure you are out of rec mode then just click on plugin insert tab and select "no insert"

Also, I am downloading 10.1.3 as I type. I hope this fixes this problem plus other 10.1.3 freeze problems mentioned already on other threads such as this thread:
http://duc.avid.com/showthread.php?t=321626

By the way, Thank You to Tri-tone for making MuteTone. It's a real lifesaver of a plugin.

Regards,

DaveL
