Default Midi import problem, "bad header type encountered"

Hi, seen this mentioned before but can't find any answers. As ever any help greatly appreciated.

I have imported midi data created in Toontrack's Drumtrackerwithout any problem but a friend emailed me a midi file and i just get the above message?

Thanks.
