Anyone else unable to use Waves Central

Hi,

Im on Lion so Waves central just crashes as its not compatible! Second computer i use for mostly internet stuff is XP

Do i really have to go and find someone with a compatible computer to activate the USB stick

I have contacted waves but can't believe i would have to go through this merry dance everytime i wanted to do any licensing!!

Looks like you'll have to find a kind soul to help you out. I contacted Waves when WC first came out because I have both ML and Mavericks and the lowest they supported at the time was Yosemite except for ML for RTAS plugins. Tech Support at the time said they had tried it on ML but hadn't done extensive tests with it but that it should work - and it does. Haven't tried it on the ML partition yet. And with you on Lion - not good.

Hi,

Finally got my USB key licensed. had to use a friends Laptop that has windows 10 on it.

After multiple attempts to download the installer they gave me a link to it finally completed.

Can't believe they can't be bothered to make a license app that works on previous OS


Every other plugin i have i can license on just about any computer!! Ilok / Plugin alliance/ NI / etc etc.

Good you got it taken care of but you've been around long enough to realize that there comes a time when supporting an old operating system no longer makes sense for a developer. I don't expect something that was created in a modern era s/w wise to work in an operating system that is multi generations old. Would I like it if NI B4II or Pro53 was directly supported in Mavericks or later? Hell yeah. Do I complain about it? No; I find a way to work around it.
