Stable Combo of OS and PTHDN 10 ?

I will be up grading to PTHDN 10 and was curious to here if there is any consensus as to the most stable combination of OS version and PTHDN 10 version.

I usually tend to stay behind the curve as far as the latest versions, as evidenced by my current system but the switch to 10 will happen by the end of year.
So wondering what combos are people running with little issue.

OSX 10.6.8 and PTHD 10.2 is extremely stable for me.

Also have 10.8.2 and PTHD 10.3.1 on a different partition and It's not working at all. Can't even playback one track without getting errors.

Great question. I hope we get some input from more users out there. I work at a studio that is running 1 HD Native rig and 2 HDX rigs. They are running on OS X 10.7.3 and PT 10.2. Those machines seem bullet proof to me. Not one error on any machine in 2 months of use. Also we had such an easy install that we didn't know about the computer optimization process so these machines are running with spotlight turned, wifi on, most of the OS is still turned on.

I have an HD Native rig at my house. I purchased my mac a few months after the studio did. My machine came with OS X 10.8.1 and I'm running PT 10.2. It runs pretty good. So far a workable situation but I do get errors from time to time. Usually some sort of DAE type error. I upgraded to OS X 10.8.2 and everything became very unstable. It was a session stopping situation. After a week of trying every combination of playback engine setting and doing every optimization step required I couldn't play a stereo 48K file on a session the consisted of one stereo audio track. The longest it would play was 6 minutes. I rolled the machine back to 10.8.1 and PT 10.2 and I'm back able to work with some very minor errors that I can live with for now.

I hope this helps and I hope others chime in. I'm finding that the OS is much more tweaky than I'm used to.

PTHD 10.3.1 & OSx 10.8.0 super smooth...and i believe now officially qualified as well. I hear bad things about 10.8.2 so im staying put for a while
