Default ONE Request for 5.2 Please.........listen digi!

Digidesign,,,2 WORDS:
FILE MANAGEMENT!!

Please give us better file management in 5.2, in Logic Audio, you can move file from location to location within the Program without ever having to go to the finder.
In Logic when I wanna get rid of unused files i do this:
1- Audio list
2- Select unused audio
3- Move these within Logic to a new folder and call it "unused"
4- Remove them from session
5 Save the session as xxxxlessfile.
6-Burn the unused folder as safety to cd, then delete em.

WHY CAN"T PROTOOLS ALLOW FILE MANAGEMENT LIKE LOGIC DOES? If the don't listen, I'm going back to Logic Full time.

Thanks

Not quite sure what your beef is musicman3. Easy to select and delete unused audio files in Protools. Sure you can't move them to another folder inside protools and back them up but you make it sound like a life and death issue. If you are that nervous of loosing audio files maybe you should pay a bit more attention of file handling issues yourself as you record, import and organize your files and prehaps back up a little more often. Not sure making threats is a very constructive way to initiate change. You wanna go back to logic ..... see you later, good luck. Sorry for the lack of sympathy but figured you didn't really earn it!!!

Well he used a bad example and an empty threat but his point is still valid, PT has realy lousy file management.
