Pro Tools could not complete your request because access violation occurred

Alright guys,

I've been getting this error message this morning when I try and load up Pro Tools (the error code is 0x00000008). It was working fine yesterday, the only thing I've done that would have any effect in Pro Tools is I've updated Line 6 software and drivers.

The only time I've experience access violations has been when multiple apps are trying to access the ASIO driver.
PT expects exclusive access to the ASIO driver, so if Windows Sounds (control panel, sounds - turn all of them off) or another app like Media Player is trying to use the ASIO driver because its set as the default device then I would see the access violations consistently; I don't recall the specific error that I use to get, so I am not sure if this feedback aligns with your specific error code
