alesis QS6 with midi

is there a way that i can hook my QS6 through midi and use the sounds on the QS6 instead of just being able to control the old presets that came with PT?

tell me if i'm not making any sense.

whenever i turn the output of the midi channel to QS6 channel 1 it picks up on the meter when i hit the keys but i get no sound. and when i go to quicktime channel 1 when i hit the keys i get sound but it's just the quicktime sounds, not the QS6

Hi Blake, Ive got a QS6 connected to my modem port with a serial cable working perfectly. Give me some details of your system and connections and hopefully I'll be able to help,
