Just spent 90 min at the Avid booth at NAB.

So here is some of what I think I got out of it. First off I gotta say I wouldn't want to be any of those guys answering questions this week, they are being bombarded. So first I watched the 10:45am live demo of PT11. Really enjoyed it, 11 looks great. A lot of new features, a lot of stuff that probably wouldn't pertain to me personally but great for post and film. Multiple faster then realtime bouncing. You guys probably know all the new features or will know tonight when the live web thing goes down. The main reason I went was to find out about moving from 10, plugin availability, hardware comparability etc... I spoke with 2 guys, one of them didn't know much and kept stumbling over his words, made me feel very uneasy. He seemed lost to be honest with you. The second guy was way more informed. Some of what was told to me is avid is gonna release 10.3.5 and that will be able to coexist with 11. Meaning when you instal 11 you don't blow out 10.3.5 and session can be opened by either. With 11 tdm and rtas are gone. But many of the vendors are porting there plugs for Native AAX. He had a session open with the list of beta test plugins. It looked like the whole Waves suite was in their among others. Did not see Slate which is a biggie for me. Couldn't get an answer regaurding autotune or melodyne. He said that my apogee 16xs should work but there maybe a driver update for 11. Not sure if there's an apogee firmware update requirement. And not sure is the 11 firmware update would effect the 16xs from working in 10. Anyway that is just kind of a few things I thought I'd pass along.

Ps I just spoke to them again. They said as of now autotune and melodyne have not contacted them regarding porting. Man they are going to have to get on board.

Man I wish I could have been more thorough or eloquent but I'm more of a musician/ear guy then a real heavy daw savvy person. I don't see myself doing 11 any time soon. Especially after just upgrading from 7.4 to 10. I have my decade fill of authorizing plugins. Lol

Same here, I have a feeling Waves AAX will release before the 11 launch.
