Editing Audio in PT12

Hi,

I have just upgraded from PT10 to 12. All is ok but the editing functions are not the same. When i seperate an audio to ensure its on the grid i did it in section ie intro verse bridre etc. I normally would sepereate the audio at the begining and end of the played section then move it to the begining of the grid or where ever its meant to be. Normally when i move the sliced audio on the left to the right it will overlap my seperated audio on the right, but when i move the next audio on the right PT10 always used the begining as the point which i seperated. IN PT 12 once i have moved the right audio part on to the left it will take the left audio end part as the begining of the left audio which is making me have to open the right side audio find the begining and seperate again then im able to move it to the begining of the grid which is causing a huge waste of time.

i hope i have managed to explain my problem. Seasoned editors should of understood what im babbling on about. I have checked all my setting in PT 10 and made it the same in 12 but for the life of me can't seem to get it to fuction in the way i want. Pls hellllllppppp...

could this be Absolute vs Relative Grid ?? if you click on the Grid Name (up where you choose grid, slip, shuttle, spot) it will change - i think it changes colors as well ..

just a thought .. this will at least get you a bump up to the top of the list
