Default Auto Backup not doing anything

Anyboby experience in this?

Even though auto backup is enabled (every 5 minutes, keep recent 10), nothing is happening, there is no auto backup-folder created nor is there anything backuping ("backing up"? however...) happening.

I did all the general troubleshooting routines (delete prefs, digi database folder, verify permissions etc...) but nothing helped. pretty bad once one is used to auto backup and after two hours of editing the system crashes without any autosaves...

System is a G4, OSX 10.4.9, PT7.2 cs2

Somebody around has a hint?

Thanx

Jo

Hi,

Is this happening on all sessions? or just one?? If on one session then try "save copy as" to start a new session.
Has this system been running ok till now? or is this a new install?
You definately trashed ALL the prefs!!
you definately trashed ALL the database files and the database folder in Mack HD/Library/app support/Digi!!

Finally uninstall Pro tools then re-install Pro tools. there's an uninstall facility in the Digidesign folder in applications/mack HD. try the safe uninstall, reboot the mac then re-install from your CD or web installer. this won't take long and it won't effect your third part plugins and non digi-rack plugins etc.

Just to dot the “i”, OSX 10.4.9 still isn’t qualified by Digi.

IHTH.
