can Artist Mix's Ethernet connects to router (not to the Pro Tools computer directly) and work as usual?

Absolutely. I had a Linksys 5G dual-band router connected to my rig(using the CONTROL app on my iPad) and just added a Mix and Transport to my rig. Ran cat5 cables from both to the router, fired it all up and everything works with no fuss on my part at all
