Default is pt running generally better now with tiger????

does tiger increase efficiency of pro tools a lot or not??

so pro tools won´t be running smoother with tiger... ok. next week i´ll receive my g5 - 2.5 GHz with 10.3.8 on it... so i don´t really have to pay any extra-bucks for a tiger-update. good to know.

you shouldn't have to pay for an update anyway. I just got a dual 2.0 that had 10.3.5 pre loaded and it had a tiger disc in the box.. all systems sold since the update to tiger should come with a tiger disc and panther disc in the box...

so i´m still a windows user... next week i´ll become mac-deflowered! the box which will ship from my musicstore contains panther for sure because it´s the older 2,5-offer. but i hope i´ll get tiger for free...

I'm finding it a little zippier, more responsive. Sessions load more quickly, the video comes on right away. So far, I'm very pleased. Dual 1-gig Quicksiler, scsi drives for audio, firewire for video.
