Hi. Welcome to the forum.
Not shure what you mean; like C3, A2 and so on?
Or custom names of samples?
The "C3"-names are shown in the lower part of the window when you select them or hover over them, is that not right?
I'm not so good on midi.

Amazingly, Pro Tools doesn’t have that option, unlike just about every other DAW. But it analyzes and displays chords that you play in real-time, so you know it could. One more thing for the feature request list.

So I think I’m looking for the same thing.......
Basically what is happening in the photo in the attached file.

Each note in the midi editor displays the note value on it....like A3 D2 or whatever it is.

Can it be done?

That would be an unreadable mess on some screens.

It scales on Cubase and Logic. The note names don’t show until you’re zoomed in a bit.

I'm resurrecting a dead post in hopes that someone knows if in these last 2 years AVID perhaps added this feature? It indeed saves me time to just read the note and not to have to look back at the piano roll.

Thanks!

Hasn't happened and I doubt it ever will.

The note value does show in the midi info box on the top of the EDIT screen, if you have that info shown.

Poster wants it in the grid without having to look elsewheres in the gui.
