Default Having problems with HEAT when switching between Sessions

Hey all,

Hopefully someone can chime in and help - I'm having a weird problem that seems to be related to HEAT.

Plugin loads properly but when I switch between projects sometimes I have issues - no audio and system is very slow to disable HEAT. I then frequently get DAE 7224, 7100 codes etc and need to reboot as the voices can't be dynamically assigned. If I chuck HEAT in the unused plugins folder the issue goes away.

I have tried the system with just HEAT enabled and no other plugins, same issue. I have also tried complete OS reinstall and software - same issues. I have tried different accel cards, core cards, OS - same issue.

Current spec is:

Mac Pro 3,1 2.8Ghz Quad
20 Gig Ram
OS 10.8.5 on SSD
3 other drives for audio etc
Pro Tools HD 10.3.7

Currently using 5 processors at 99% with disk caching at 6gb

I have also tried this on a regular drive running 10.6.8 which did seem snappier but swapping between projects soon brings the demons back. I have been switching off DSp cache as well but this doesn't help.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what to try next? A colleague suggested checking firmware on the PCIe cards but finding it hard to find good data on solid configurations.

I love the sound of HEAT and am reluctant to ditch it. Any help or suggestions would be most welcome.

Thanks in advance....

Have you checked to make sure you have the latest compatible version of Heat?

Yes. Tried the version that came with 10.3.7 installer as well as the version online. Same problems...
