When I finally got up and running I moved the PIs back into the Plug-Ins folder one by one and all is good :)

PT10.3.8 update did that as well. You didn't have to move any plugins around, just restart PT10 and it will do it's thing. 8 gig won't help here as PT10 is still a 32 bit app that can't see all that extra memory.

http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/d...-3-9-Downloads has links to the Read Me's and Installers (just re-posted a fixed 10.3.9 Win installer).

Those files have been added to the PT11 products in customer accounts and are being added to the PT10 products today.

Thanks,
JC

I can't seem to get the Mac version of 10.3.9 to install. It downloaded and unpacked OK. However, the installation hangs at the final part eventually throwing out an out of memory error message after about 1 hour. No other applications are open.

Current System

Mac OS 10.8.5
PT 10.3.8
Mac Mini Quad 2.0 with 8GB RAM
UA Apollo Twin

I just downloaded 10.3.9 Mac and used that to do a clean uninstall then ran the installer (on Mac OS 10.8.5)… no trouble.
  1. Are you doing a Safe or Clean Uninstall, or installing over 10.3.8?
  2. Have you tried installing under a new User Account?
Thanks,
JC

Safe install on an existing user account on the system in my sig file and no problems with the install or startup of PT10.3.9. Thanks for the update.

I eventually got 10.3.9 to take by first doing a Clean Uninstall. It's never been necessary before.

I don't know if it helped but I also moved the installer to the root directory (from the downloads folder) before commencing the installation.

Thanks for the advice.

Download for 10.3.9 is still stopping at 400MB or 1.5GB and never fully downloads. What up?
