Default old pro tools computer, new interface. what to do?

hey
i'm going to use an mbox pro 2 with an older computer of mine (long story. relocation, old sessions, blah blah).
i have PT LE 8.0.4 installed on that pc, but i used to have a digi002r hooked up to it.
so what should i do? reinstall pro tools 8 entirely? or is there a way to avoid that? maybe i could just replace the drivers, no?
if i reinstall pro tools, will i have to reinstall all my plugins too?

also, i bought the mbox pro 2 without the power supply. bad move? does the mbox 2 pro work better with the power supply?

and, by the way, which version 8 is best? (is 8.0.5 a good update? better than 8.0.4?)

You should be good to go with just installing Mbox drivers;

8.05 has been working well for me;

Not sure about the power supply question.

I think zed said it well. If you have the PT8 installer disk, you could likely stick it in the drive and open Windows with the Mbox connected. Windows should install the driver off the disk all by itself. As long as you have a 6 pin FW port in the computer, it should power up fine off the FW port.

thanks guys! i'm glad i asked for advice here it was that simple and it seems to work properly.
it probably was a bad move to buy the mbox without the power supply though.. i'll post some more questions about that in another thread.
cheers
