Creating templates saves a lot of unnecessary work imo.

ANy chance Avid will fix this? I can't wee why we would want to default to anything apart from stereo interleaved

You're Welcome!

Couldn't say...Avid might not consider this as a bug and most likely see it as a working/workflow preference. Maybe submit a ticket and see what they say.
