Default 2019.5 wtf???
Only crashes and bugs ... it crashes even doing NOTHING, just staring at it.
Come on avid... We are getting tired BIG TIME.
Just had to rant. Sorry.

One tha s was working almost flawless... or at least as flawless as it culd get using ProTools and now ufter the update .. crashing and crashing...
Any other DAW works PERFECTLY.
Sadly, I cant leave Protools... Standard.. you know.... but I'm awfully tired.

I ask because we all know protools is fickle. If you post exact system specs. It might help you get some trouble shooting methods. I've gotten great help to setup and trouble shoot over the years.

Computer. Os. Hardware. Etc... it all makes a difference. My system works perfectly now.

Sorry but in my case 2019.5 its been working perfectly.
Ironically I think this is the best version ever!
Not a single crash in two weeks with old and new sessions with several VI’s and many many audio tracks and plug ins.

Hope you find whats happening guys.

Upgrading to 2019.5 with in the plan is $399 savings of $7685.53 to get past the 256 track limitation on EVERY thing prior to 2019.
Plus all the other new features of being able to bring in a plug in, deleting on, etc while playing which is kind of time saving with and with out a client sitting behind you during a large mix.

Same here. 2019.5/macOS 10.14.5, the best combo since PT 9 IMO.
