basic MIDI setup w/ roland Vdrums
OK..i've been killing myself trying to figure out this midi stuff. i have a roland vdrumset (with the td-6) and i can't get it to work w/ my midi tracks. can someone pretty much help me from step 1 of setting up midi. I have a 002R and am running on winXP... thanks a lot!

Hi,
depending on what you want to do... 002 MIDI Out into V-Drum MIDI In, V-Drum MIDI Out into 002 MIDI In. V-Drum Audio Out into 002(let's say) Input 3-4. Create a new Stereo Aux track, assign it to Input 3-4. Create a new MIDI track, assign it to channel 10, Record Enable it, you can now hear the V-Drum. If you click Record+Play, you will record MIDI notes on the MIDI tracks which will trigger your V-Drum on playback. If you want to record the Audio, create a new Stereo track, assign it to Input 3-4, Record Enable it, click Record+Play, now you are recording the audio coming out of your V-Drum. Hope this helps Ben
