Default Midi help needed Mbox on XP

I have a TMK-88 midi keyboard controller (Midi out only.) This feeds into a MidiSport 2x2 (Midi in "A".) Then Midi out "A" runs into the (midi in) on my Roland XV-2020 sound module. I have setup the Roland sound module to (midi out) back into the MidiSport 2x2. The Roland XV-2020 then runs 1/4" cables into the Line 1 & 2 of the Mbox. Here is my question:

I am able to record a midi track. Is there a way to record a second midi track of a different patch than the first, while at the same time listening to the first patch (without setting a bus to an audio track)? There are 16 channels on the Roland if that helps?

Thank you for all your help.

Dave
