Default Undo History Window

Greetings All

The Reference Guide says, quote: "All operations in the queue that were performed after the operation you selected will also be undone."

Is there a way to extract just one operation from the queue without all performed operations after the selected operation from being undone?

I wonder how hard this would be to implement? On the surface of it, it looks like it's time dependent.

Unfortunately not.

Unlimited and selective undo would be a real boon and a case for the feature request form I feel. No reason at all why we shouldn't have it.

I like how in certain Adobe application you can save snapshots of different task flows and histories, so you can revert to different states, undo selected actions and generally have a lot more control over your workflow than relying on 'Save As..'. I'd love it if PT implemented something like this.

In the meantime, fill out a feature request form for unlimited, selective undo.

Peace

Sonny

Nuendo and Cubase both have Unlimited, Selective Undo. I filled out a Feature Request for that and 3 others a long time ago. I even talked to a Digi Rep about it when the last Tour went through Toronto. He said it was implementable and something users asked for regularly.

The other 3 things I requested were:

ADC

Zero Crossing Editing

Faster-Than-Real-Time mixdown with all effects and automation.

Needless to say, the rep said users regularly asked for ADC and Faster-Than-Real-Time mixdown with all effects and automation too.

I'm not holding my breath

Cheers,

I would use it every day if I could.

Have a hope - it's the sort of thing I can see appearing at some point.

In the meantime, lurkers out there, fill out that feature request form!

Peace

Sonny
