Default Unable to detect digi 002 AND 003, multiple systems.

I've had an 003 working fine on my winXP system for over a year now. Occasionally I'd get a detection error when starting up PT8 but I'd just turn the digi rack on and off and it'd work right away. A few days ago when I turned on the rack it went through its normal boot sequence but ALL the bottom LED buttons stayed lit. From then on, nothing will recognize the 003 hardware. The boot sequence seems fine, only mute LED stays lit, normal clicks, the back "link" firewire LED lights when firewire is connected but no system detects my 003. I've tried multiple firewire cables, PCs running XP and Windows 7 with fresh ProTools installs, same for OSX.

After borrowing an 002 for a few days, it was working fine then the same thing happened. Except for the LEDs staying on I can't get any system to detect either interface. Any ideas? Need any more info?

Thanks!

Specs of the main computer where problems started:
Windows XP
Asus M2N-VM DVI Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6000+
4GB Ram

Have tried multiple cables that are working with other firewire devices, but thanks!

Also I didn't hotswap any firewire cables and I've tried the firmware mode on the 003.

What's the chipset in your firewire controller? What version of PT8? You should probably post a SANDRA report at this point. BTW - what do you mean by "the firmware mode on the 003"??

Sorry, not sure what the mode is actually called but I meant holding Aux in 7/8 and Mute while powering on the 003. It's an LSI chipset, I can get a SANDRA report up tomorrow, thanks!
