Default Help. Assigining wav files to midi keys or pads

I have an Akai MPK mini play, and Pro Tools updated fully. I would like to assign certain drum sounds I have downloaded on my computer to the midi controller. I have Xpand, but I would like to experiment with more and have hit a wall figuring out how to do this.

You need a sampler or sample player to play your sounds with your mpk mini. Check out Sitala from Decomposer. It’s very simple and free to boot.

There's your answer.
Check that your controller is recognized in PT in "Midi devices", Insert Sitala on an instrument track, rec enable it, then drag'n drop samples onto Sitala.
