Default 32 bit session feels sluggish & slow

Hello, for the first I encountered a complete session in 32 bit (live recorded by some other tech on an midas foh desk)
Got one wav file which holds al 32 tracks inside... but working with these files makes my 2019 macpro feels really slow and slugish, especially zooming in and out, doing cuts and fades...
anybody familier with this?

I tried already to load the whole session in ram but it makes no difference.
I’m working on one of the 2 ssd disks which are installed originaly, which are pretty fast.

24 bit sessions are just fine.

Latest pt and my whole plugin folder is at the latest versions

If anybody has a good idea, I like to know.

Is it a 32 channel polywav file? If so, I agree, split it up into seperate tracks and then import. Or, import and consolidate each channel and then delete the polywav from the session.

Yea split it to consolidated mono files, then import. When you know that some track is stereo you can combine them in PT

Alright, I’ll try that... I’ll consolidate it first, so I’ll keep my edits.

Thanks for the quick response 😃
