New Pro Tools Touch controller i'm working on

Looks very promising
 Is it software that uses any commercial touchscreen, or must it use specific hardware too?

Thanks, I can't believe how well it's going, Windows version is working great, I'm just waiting for the touch screen driver for OSX as the company are out till the new year, it's all done but I can't test it yet. I'm wanting to get some metering and hopefully scribble strips done to make the full screen 'control surface' mode even more useful.
I'm using the toolbar myself all the time now can't imagine not having it. Like I said watch this space and I'll keep you posted ...

Very interesting. It look like it works with booth the proprietary touch gui and the standard Protools graphical interface, no?

Yes, you can use both the PT GUI with the touch screen, ie draw in automation, insert plugins and editing, plus the softwares own interface.
