custom keyboard shortcuts

How do you customize your keyboard shortcuts, specifically for MIDI Step Input? I can't seem to figure it out. Unless it's impossible! argh

There aren't any custom keyboard shortcuts. There is a 10 page doc in your help menu that is worth printing out. There are key commands for the MIDI step editor, although it is hardly complete.

system preferences->keyboard and mouse->keyboard shortcuts.

for most apps, you can create and replace keyboard shortcuts for menu selections here. however since step input in in a nested menu, i'm not sure if it will work that way

Wow, I'm just coming over (slowly) to Pro Tools from Cubase 6.

Cubase's shortcuts are FULLY customizeable as well as the whole preference set. Plus, the configurations can be saved as presets. This is SO important in Cubase and has made my workflow very fast.

But... I'm just starting down this PT road. Who knows where it'll lead?
