Default iLok problem

Hi

I recently downloaded my free upgrade to pro tools 8, however my new iLock license for version 8 wasn't sent to my iLock account for some reason. So I am unable to authorize my new version of pro tools. Do you know how I could resolve this? Any help would be greatly welcomed.

Thanks

Thanks for the help :)

However I am still having the same problem, when I go into my digi page it says I have used all my activation codes. I don't know if this will help but, when I go to click on the pro tools icon on my desktop it comes up with the message " This version of pro tools 8 requires authorization to run but the authorization cannot be found in the installed iLock".

IIRC I had to go revisit ilock.com and then do a synch. I think the best advice is to keep going back to your "My Digi" account and make sure you click the Downloads link. Stuff kept showing up there for me. The process works, it's just a little convoluted and non-intuitive.

It sounds like you downloaded and installed the wrong version of Pro Tools (probably M-Powered or HD/TDM, which do require an iLok).

Verify the version of Pro Tools you have installed. If your signature is correct, you should only need your authorization code, which you can find on your MyDigi page.

If, indeed, you are running M-Powered or HD/TDM, then log into your iLok account and look on the left for 'Download Licenses' - your iLok licenses will be there.
