Output drivers and OSX ???

I cant play DVD movies with OS9 (9.2.2) because it freezes no matter after some minutes.. tried everything.

With OSX installed on another harddrive it works perfectly!... However I can not get the audio to play thru my digidesign cards :-/

Is there any solution for this?.

Any info is appreciated.
