Default Registering 002r without previous owner info?? Help Digi.

How can I register an 002r without the previous owners information? Will purchasing 7.4 give me the ability to register the hardware? Anyone have experience doing this? If anyone from Digi reads this, please chime in. And yes, I've read Digi's transfer of ownership page. They don't really touch on this situation.

If you've read the TOO page, you'll know that the hardware should have come with a signed transfer document. Part of this is then sent to Digi to reregister the hardware in your name. As I see it, you have 2 options,

1. Contact the seller and get them to send you a completed transfer document.
2. Contact Digi customer services with the serial number AND evidence of the purchase transaction to see if they would be prepared to accept this in lieu of 1. above.

Anyone from Digi reading today? It's a long story, but this unit was repossessed due to being bought with embezeled money. Therefore, I don't have any information about the previous owner. Anyone have experience registering an orphan product? Anyone? Digi?

Phil's advice is correct. You would need to contact Digi Customer Service Administration and give them as many details as possible.

Based on the 002 being discontinued and unsupported under warranty is there any real reason to be concerned with the transferring the ownership?
