This is distributed by Avid but it isn't an Avid product.

As someone has already pointed out, by getting PT10 you pay more so is AAX really 0 cents on Avid PI's ?

Also McDSP you need to be on V5 which if you have an older Version is a crossgrade. It is free if you were already on V5 though.

Sonnox are charging though not a lot if you surrender your TDM.

I would expect to be charged for MDW EQ AAX DSP upgrades, I don't want to pay anything, but re coding a plug in, isn't free to them it's fair really, but I hope it isn't too high.

They have something else in the pipe line as well for AAX. If you go to their facebook there's an intreview that states as much.

I just wish they'd hurry up and release it.

I meant the exorbitant upgrade price from 9 to 10.

A "few" dineros were for the AAX plugins.

We need to have an answer from Avid, reg. when they want to release the MDW EQ for AAX. Are they just lying somewhere forgotten?

Tony Cariddi of Avid told me one month ago that it would only be a few days...? Meanwhile I trying to make use of all that DSP I just bought. What's going on, Avid?

Not that I'm bitter. My new HDX2 system sounds amazing and it's nice to be up'ed to 256 voices in 96k. But even with the long (75 min) and big sessions (100+ tracks) I run, I'm hardly on the second card. My (RTAS) native %'s are one the other hand what's holding me back now.

Any news from Avid on the MDW EQ update would be greatly appreciated.

Apologies for the silence on MDW. There were some late breaking issues which unexpectedly delayed the release. The AAX plug-in is complete and we're currently testing installers so we should be ready to post soon.It will be worth the wait!

That's great news, Tony. So a week, or so?

I am smack in the middle of a big project and were presuming I had the MDW one month ago. Using the RTAS versions is fine and well but I would of course love to use my newfound (read bought) DSP.
