Default Audio missing after I unfreeze tracks! :(
Hey hey, recently I unfreeze some audio tracks only to lose all the audio on those tracks!! Has anyone else had this problem!?


I may be new to this community but I'm not new to your waifu~

I freeze all the time, never had this problem. Make sure no clip is selected in the timeline when cleaning up the unused files.

I had this happen to me twice so I only use commit now which has been 100% reliable.

Happened to me once. But I was somehow able to recover the audio. I think the files were still in the session folder, but Pro Tools for some reason couldn't locate them. I think I just dragged the freeze files back onto the tracks and all was well.

So, just to clarify your problem, you freeze an audio track which contains an audio region or several audio regions.. . You now see one audio region in that track which is grey. . ?

Now, when you unfreeze the track you are seeing nothing on the audio track . . is that correct ?

Yes, after unfreezing the track, the audio disappears. I can undo and keep my audio... It would be nice to unfreeze the tracks and keep the audio though.. I froze plug ins I wasn't finished with

What version of PT are you using? There's a known bug previous to 12.7.1 in which deleting automation on frozen tracks will remove permanently the midi clips, not sure if the audio too.

I'm using 12.7 but this problem happened before I upgraded from 12.6
