Default Mackie Active monitor - 1 speaker huge white noise

I recently got myself a new desk, and as a result had to remove everything from my old, get the new one in and re-wire.

I've got a pair of Mackie H264 MKII that I've put back on the desk and plugged power in. The left one is fine, the right one as soon as I power it on has a huge white noise sound coming from it. it has no input plugged in, and I've tried two IEC cables into two different wall power sources and through a Samson powerbrite power strip.

I'm in the UK so get good power, I'm guessing the right speaker is somehow damaged, it looks visually fine and I was careful moving it, but for one speaker to just make this noise with no input worries me. Suggestions ?

thans.

Does the volume control work? If so, turn it down all the way, plug in some signal and bring it up slowly and see what happens. Sure sounds like it bit the big one

I managed to figure out by chance one of the switches had a bit of dirt in it, and hadn't quite gone fully across, blast of air and flick the switch and all is good. Sorry for the panic.
