Default Dual G5 with dual hard drives

Thinking of getting a G5 with two hard drives, one for OS and the other for recording audio in lieu of seperate firewire drive. Will this work? 002, PT6.4, OS 10.3.4., Reason 2.5.

Do check out the "Best Desktops" thread, but only if you want to save a half to two thirds the cost of a G5 with a comparable-in-performance PC. Please note, I said comparable-in-performance not comparable-in-hardware. Most Mac people want to make a comparable-in-hardware comparison when the issue of price comes up. A fully tricked out, dual Opteron is not much cheaper than a comparable-in-hardware dual G5. However, a dual Opteron is not necessary to get the same performance in PT LE as a dual G5. Some of the Centrino laptops are the equal of or slightly better than a Mac dual G5 when it comes to PT LE performance. See this post. YMMV

Cheers,
