I've got it working and it is pretty slick.
Although I'm not sure how often I would use it.
It can be level matched yet sound quiet or loud in context to the rest of the mix.
I'm sure it will make someone's life easier and I have more playing to do before I decide if it is for me.
But it does work.

I'm having the same problems as David. Unfortunately when mine got stuck, I had a 1 measure loop going and it WOULD NOT STOP REPEATING! I couldn't control anything, stop it, I had to force quit it... And worst of all, I hate that song now! Haha, I'd love to see it working correctly, though. Looks great.

Here goes the major bug:
It will introduce a C2 note if you have a virtual instrument loaded.
To get around this :

Simply go to Pro Tools menu, Setup--> MIDI -->Input Devices--> and un-check the Wave Rider ports. So currently Virtual Instruments can't co exist with Wave Rider functionality. grrr

We'll have a fix soon...

EDIT: THIS IS FIXED IN v1.4

Hey badboy,
You could use Wave Rider to smooth out the track, and then send it to an Aux, and ride the aux to your taste. Or simply trim ride the track. :)

Hi guys...

To be fair to waverider, the website does say that there are known bugs in PT8. No doubt it will get sorted..

Great idea for a plug..

Cheers
Dave
