Xpand! v1.0 to v1.0.1 Updates

for some reason, the updater refuses to update my installed copy of Xpand!. I keep getting the error "installation failed, please try again"

I've tried reinstalling the original Xpand from the CD to no avail.

R-Permissions, reinstalled from disk and the updater still will not update.

On another note:
I also noticed the Plug-in setting folder for Xpand is (red X) locked for preset settings, I replaced this with my own Xpand! folder which allow for my settings to be save.

For the updater as I mentioned I backed up (Moved) my settings and did a reinstall from the original disk.

PT's HD7.1cs5, OS 10.4.5
Xpand pi Version 1.00.701
Xpand .dat located in the Digidesign applications support folder (As installed)

P.S. Original Xpand works otherwise.

I noticed this too with my original install and changed folder permissions to read and write for all after my intial installation. The locked folder not only doesn't allow the presets to be saved but it doesn't allow one to set the root settings folder in the RTAS preset menu.

I can't get the upgrade to work either. I don't get an error message but the version is still 1.0.0.701 after running the upgrade installer.

Can you tell me how the permissions are set on the Xpand.dat file?

OK. The Xpand!.dat-file has the following permissions:

Ownership and permissions:
You can: Read and Write

Details
Owner: My own user (which is also admin on the computer)
Access: Read and write
Group: My own user (which is also admin on the computer)
Access: Read only
Others: Read only

the Xpand! presets folder and all enclosed folders were set to "no access" for all users on all levels before I changed permissions.

.dat file permissions are:

owner: read & write
group: read only
others read only
