Default Kensington trackballs & OS 10.8

I have an old Expert Mouse that I quite like, but since upgrading my setup it behaves a bit weird. TrackballWorks does work, but after every reboot I have to go into the OS System preferences > Other > TrackballWorks to remind it how I programmed it.

Any remedy for that?

Thanks.

I set this up and just have to quit System Preferences as I get started. I could probably also set a macro to do that automatically.

Thanks, Ryan. That's a step in the right direction. I often forget to "wake up" that pref, and it's annoying (no double-click + reversed scrolling).
